An Odd Angle

The Red Gym on the UW Madison campus is often photographed, but not from this angle. Last week’s photo was of the two birch trees at the end of the seldom-used walkway between the Red Gym and Alumni Park to the left.

Odd Angles is a regular Sunday morning feature at YSDA. On my many walks around Madison I like to snap pictures of spots I like that nobody else would think to photograph.

  1. Thanks; the Red Gym has a LOT of character! It’s…um…respectable in a Noah Cross sorta way.

It brings back many fond memories of the mid-late 70s (it was old then!) when I was there 5-6 times a week while in school.

I dropped a ton of sweat, tears (and some blood) playing basketball on those sometimes buckled second floor wooden courts, and in the relatively tiny 1st floor Universal Gym room.
