The Q&Q For 7/6/24

This week’s quote comes to us from none other than Pres. Joe Biden, who, in response to a question from George Stephanopoulos about how things went so horribly wrong at his debate against Donald Trump, had this to say:

“The whole way I prepared, nobody’s fault mine. Nobody’s fault but mine. I, uh, prepared what I usually would do, sitting down as I did, come back with foreign leaders or National Security Council for explicit detail. And I realized about partway through that, you know, I quoted The New York Times had me down 10 points before the debate, 9 now or whatever the hell it is. The fact of the matter is that what I looked at is that he also lied 28 times. I couldn’t, I mean, the way the debate ran, not — my fault, no one else’s fault — no one else’s fault.”

Last week we said that Biden’s cognitive decline was too serious to joke about. But after a week of his stubborn denialism he is all but assuring Trump’s return to office. Biden’s store of goodwill is all but gone. He’s earned mockery.
