In a plea deal, Hunter Biden will plead guilty to Republican values.
After an exhaustive five-year investigation it turns out that Biden is guilty of three things. He didn’t pay $200,000 in taxes, he illegally possessed a gun as a drug addict and he’s a monumental screw-up in a political family.
For the record, he did not incite the overthrow of a legitimately elected government, he is in no way responsible for a riot that killed five people, he didn’t try to convince a state election official to “find” enough votes to steal him that state’s electoral votes, nor did he store state secrets in his bathroom and wave them around at dinner parties to impress his guests.
To equate what Hunter Biden did to what Trump did is just ludicrous.
But beyond that, if Biden were a Republican they’d be giving him the Medal of Freedom. Not paying your taxes and allowing anybody, regardless of their competence, to own a cache of firearms are Republican family values these days.

You don’t think so? Every time Democrats try to give the IRS the resources to go after tax cheats — to simply make well-off people pay what they owe so that the rest of us can owe a little less — Republicans scream that it’ll be the end of the free world as we know it. In fact, as part of the debt limit deal they insisted that the new money Democrats had provided for tax law enforcement be cut — as it turned out by 20%. That means we’re likely to catch fewer Hunter Bidens. If the Republicans are so outraged by Biden’s tax evasion why do they want to cut the resources to find tax evaders?
And as for guns, Republicans cheer every time even the most sensible gun control laws are weakened or struck down. They even fought legislation that would block gun sales to people on the FBI’s terrorist watch list. So what’s the problem with a druggy having a few AR-15s laying around, maybe even stacked in his bathroom along with a classified document or two?
There’s no question that Hunter Biden is a screw-up in a long tradition of presidential family embarrassments. Remember Billy Carter? And I don’t excuse him. Cheating on your taxes, and to the tune of $200,000, is no small matter. And his “job” as a board member, at $50,000 a month, for a Ukranian gas company was sleazy influence peddling, though there’s no evidence any influence was actually peddled in the end.
Every Democrat and every Never Trump Republican should be pissed as hell at Hunter Biden. Frankly, I wish the judge would reject the plea deal and send him to jail for awhile. But to equate this with what Trump faces is just ridiculous. In fact, Biden was just exercising what have become Republican values.
I’m mostly sad and disappointed in Hunter. Don’t forget, he lost his mother and sister early on in life and that has to mess with someone. However, he should still be held accountable and he is. Most legal authorities say that a person would likely never be charged for the gun related charge alone, but because he is Hunter Biden they are making an example of him. Now don’t forget too that Trump boasted on the campaign trail about not paying taxes saying that it made him smart. I don’t complain about paying taxes, but I do expect everyone else to do the same. So a pox upon them both in that regard! But they haven’t given up on going after Hunter. I just don’t get it. Don’t they have better things to do?
